The Arc of Atlantic County improves the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community. Through direct services, advocacy, education and prevention activities, we work in partnership with individuals and their families to make choices possible about how and where they live, learn, play and work. Program areas at Arc of Atlantic County

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES:GROUP HOMES- Fifty-one (51) individuals with developmental disabilities live in thirteen (13) homes throughout Atlantic County. Trained staff provides 24-hour supervision along with training and daily living support.SUPERVISED APARTMENTS- Fifty-eight (58) individuals with developmental disabilities live in thirty-seven (37) apartments throughout Atlantic County. Trained staff provides 24-hour assistance, along with training and support to help individuals become more independent.COMMUNITY SUPPORTS PROGRAM AND SUPPORTIVE LIVING- Sixty (60) individuals with developmental disabilities reside in homes and apartments throughout Atlantic County. Trained staff provides between FOUR (4) and twenty (20) hours of support in order to maintain independent living within the community.
SUPPORT COORDINATION AND COMMUNITY CASE MANAGEMENT: Support Coordinators provide support for 400 individuals with developmental disabilities annually. We help people find services and supports that they want and need, develop a Medicaid service plan, and monitor the plan and services people receive. We provide information and referral linkages for others that email or call us with questions about services, entitlements, eligibility, and supports.
DAY HABILITATION AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES- Our day habilitation program provides seventy-five (75) individuals with developmental disabilities, the opportunity to participate in volunteer and leisure activities within the community building their daily living and social skills. Forty (40) individuals receive support from DDD and DVR as they search and interview for jobs. Staff also assist in job readiness training, pre-vocational training, and career exploration.
