Acr holds a 3 day annual conference for dispute resolvers from all sectors of practice. Acr's specialized sections hold periodic conferences to develop skills and exchange knowledge in particular subject areas. Acr conferences gather Conflict Resolution practitioners, students and interested parties from all corners of the globe to network, learn new skills, discuss cutting-edge issues and keep abreast of what is happending in the expanding field of Conflict Resolution.
Special programs: since 2016, acr partnered with the jams foundation to form the jams foundation/association for Conflict Resolution initiative for students and youth. Acr manages a grant solicitiation, review and recommendation, and project monitoring process for the jams foundation in the area of Conflict Resolution education. The jams foundation/association for Conflict Resolution initiative for students and youth provides grant funding for Conflict prevention and dispute Resolution programs for k-12 students and for adults working with youth populations in ways that directly transfer cre skills from adults to youth.
Membership services / publications:conflict Resolution quarterly (crq), a quarterly academic publication. Crq publishes scholarly articles on relationships between theory, research, and practice in the Conflict management and dispute Resolution field to promote more effective professional applications.acresolution magazine is published quarterly and is produced by acr's editorial committee. Each issue focuses on a specific theme and seeks diversity in authors and subject matter. Acr update is a weekly electronic newsletter serving the acr membership. Acr section and chapter news is included each month along with acr news and events.
Chapters and sections activities: acr's professional interest sections serve as acr's programmatic core. Sections allow members to join with colleagues with similar interests as well as share information via websites, newsletters, teleconferences and meetings. Members of acr sections enjoy a wide array of programs, as well as opportunities for volunteer leadership within acr. Acr's chapters enable members to meet and share ideas with colleagues in their community and participate in activities that support their professional development.membership services provide further education and access to individuals employed in Conflict Resolution. Acr is the nation's largest professional Association for mediators, arbitrators, educators and other Conflict Resolution practitioners.
