Program areas at Black Hawk-Grundy Mental Health Center
The Mental Health services program's objective is to provide a variety of Mental Health services to people in Black hawk and grundy counties at no or low cost based upon a sliding fee. During 2022, the Center's outpatient services provided over 20,000 initial evaluations, individual and group therapy and medication management services to approximately 6,000 individuals. The Center also provided Mental Health services to the homeless, youth in the schools, outreach to individuals with a serious and persistent Mental illness, an integrated Health home program for pediatric, adult patients with Mental Health problems and peer support services through a Mental Health recovery Center, Mental Health services to hawkeye community college, Mental Health re-entry services at the department of correctional services, and consultation and education to the community.
