Program areas at CPM Educational Program

In furtherance of CPM's commitment to professional development support provided for the classroom teachers, paraeducators, coaches, and administrators of grade 6-12 students, CPM continued to offer robust virtual learning opportunities and hosted a hybrid teacher conference, as well as other in-person learning events including a residential institute, the teacher research corp institute, and two institutes to support best practices. CPM was able to offer more live in-person learning events than in 2021, but will continue to offer complimentary learning events via live in-person and live sessions, along with on-demand content. CPM moved forward in our candidate status through our site visit. The visiting team indicated they will recommend to the middle states association commissions on elementary and secondary schools (msa-cess) that CPM receives full accreditation. Accreditation status will allow teachers to earn units for maintaining and expanding their certifications and credentials. CPM will need to invest in technology infrastructure to support a registrar's office. CPM's full-time writing staff is creating a new bimodal curriculum series, inspiring connections, that is aligned to the ccss and incorporates teaching and learning best practices supported by research. The grade 6 and grade 7 curricula was field-tested on the new digital platform this year. Inspiring connections will expand to grade 8 and these middle school courses will be sold for use in schools in the 2023-24 next year. Mathematics teachers with experience teaching from core connections 2nd edition were hired as seasonal writers to begin a 3rd edition of the core connections series. Technology infrastructure development continued to support teachers and students using online learning, increased recordkeeping functionality for professional learning events, upgrades to our business records platform, our shop, our curriculum delivery platform and increasing our online security. CPM is continually attending to improving the support of wcag 2.0 accessibility standards and security on all our websites and digital content.
