Program areas at El Zocalo Immigrant Resource Center
Financial Literacy & Advising Services provided low-income & foreign born populations with education on family budgeting, saving & working with credit. Individual advising was also provided. 49 virtual and in person events were held, reaching 52,000 people. 69 individuals received financial advising and 15 families participated in financial education workshops.
Basic Need COVID-19 Response: Provided 200 families (830 individuals) food, PPE supplies & hygiene items during the COVID-19 emergency.
Ventanilla de Salud (Health & Social Services Coaching & Case Management - Held 110 health events through virtual networks & in person, reaching an audience of more than 90,000 people. 43 families received individual counseling & referrals for health care in low-cost clinics.
Emergency Fund Grant - Provided 70 families in high need access to a food pantry twice a month, gift cards & fresh produce.
