Program areas at Junior Achievement of Northern

Ja in-school programs: the in-school programs include 17 sequential themes for pre-k through 12th grade. Students learn concepts of financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship. The sequential activities build on studies from each preceding grade and prepare students for their futures and lifelong learning. The programs were presented by 2,462 trained volunteers this year. in 2022-23 jani began a new high school program called 3de in two of the local high schools. in 3de, the learning experience is re-engineered to be authentically connected to the world that exists beyond the classroom walls. Ja finance park: ja finance park is an education program that introduces personal financial planning and career exploration. It is designed to be taught to middle and high school students by classroom teachers. At the culmination of this program, students visit the ja finance park facility to put into practice what they have learned about principles of budgeting. Assisted by their teachers and a staff of trained volunteers, they have the opportunity to develop a personal budget. The program combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to the ja finance park facility.
Ja biztown: through daily lessons, hands-on activities, and active participation in a simulated community designed to support differentiated learning styles, students develop a strong understanding of the relationship between what they learn in school and their successful participation in a worldwide economy. The ja biztown program combines in- class learning with a day-long visit to this fully-interactive simulated town facility. The program helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world.
