Program areas at Mental Health Association of Monmouth County
Adult program: community support services is a supportive housing program that provides services to adults with serious Mental illness who are also at risk for homelessness and/or psychiatric hospitalization. Our programs for the homeless include free case management to adults diagnosed with serious Mental illness offering linkage to develop stability in the individuals life. Housing navigation assists homeless individuals and families to obtain permanent housing. Family support services provide consultation for families and friends of adults with Mental illness. Navigating wellness program provides traditional outpatient services.
Community social services: provides professional consultation to families and loved ones of adults with Mental illness. One to one support and education is provided to the families with the goal of helping them to understand serious Mental illness, to respond in a manner most helpful to the consumer, and to support their loved one in a way that maintains their own sense of wellbeing. In addition, mhamc provides assistance with navigating community resources and organizing residents of communities in need.
Children's programs: provides intensive in-home counseling and case management services to families referred by the family crisis intervention program, dcp&p, and other community referral sources. Other children's program include school based programs and youthdiversionary programs. (see attached schedule o).
