Program areas at Opportunities
Headstart and Early Headstart - Providing comprehensive services to income eligible children age 0 to school age and their families in Great Falls, Conrad, Cut Bank, Vaughn And Shelby, Montana. The program develops, administers, and implements programs for the educational, social, health, nutritional, and psychological needs of over 481 children.
Emergency Food and Shelter Programs provide aid to persons in acquiring basic necessities, as well as helping them access resources within the community to provide emergency food and shelter, and mid-term assistance to families and individuals to mentor, train, and re-house those in extreme need. Emergency services were provided to over 2,700 individuals.
Energy Programs - Energy conservation measures to conserve the amount of energy used by low-income families through the improvement of their homes heating efficiency, as well as through education in ways to permanently reduce energy consumption. Priority is given to high energy consumers. Primary heating costs are also subsidized through fuel assistance programs. These services benefitted over 1,988 households.
