We also opened our new animal center and headquarters which includes a state-of-the-art shelter medicine center, walking trails, dog splash pads, and an outdoor enclosed cat space. This thoughtfully designed space will provide high quality care and humane support to our four-legged friends and their families for many years to come.
COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION SERVICES - Atlanta Humane Society provided a wide variety of humane education initiatives over the past year. These programs focus on the proper care and treatment of animals, the work performed by the Atlanta Humane Society as well as the importance of programs such as spay/neuter in ending animal homelessness. Atlanta Humane Society also strives to increase public awareness for the humane treatment of animals through multiple communication channels including an annual telethon event.
REMEDY - Atlanta Humane Society operates a veterinary practice, Remedy, which provides our community with access to affordable, transparently priced services that address all essential aspects of a pet's health. We acquired a 2nd veterinary practice in Gainesville, Florida that will increase pet owners' access to affordable veterinary care.
