Program areas at California Volunteers Fund

Climate corps/climate corps expansion:launched in 2020, the California climate action corps program was the first program of its kind to mobilize a large group of californians through americorps service fellowships, as well as volunteer and direct action opportunities, to tackle climate change. With funding to support both the California climate action corps, as well as efforts to expand corps-based service models across the country, the climate corps program continues to support traditional service corps models, recruitment efforts to build strong fellowship cohorts, funding to increase fellowship stipends for service fellows, and service and volunteer efforts to engage communities throughout California.
Californiansforall:the California Volunteers Fund continued to support the californiansforall program, providing additional resources for a program that encourages engagement with californians around service, volunteerism, and individual action.
College corps:launched in 2022, the #californiansforall college corps engages college students in critical service activities around education and mentorship, food insecurity, and climate action. Funding was allocated to support the launch activities for the new program, with funds leveraged for the official swearing-in ceremony for college corps fellows as well as other supplies, materials, logistics/preparation needed to ensure the successful start of the program.
Corps to career: California Volunteers Fund started launching the corps to career pilot in los angeles. This initiative supports California Volunteers service program alumni in finding post-service careers that offer competitive salaries and benefits. This model builds networks, soft skills and career development, and employee partnerships.
