Gsnnj) is an independent 501(c)(3) organization with a Girl Scouts of the usa charter to deliver Girl scouting in its jurisdiction. Gsnnj provides the Girl scout leadership experience to over 17,000 girls throughout 4 1/2 counties in Northern nj. The Girl scout leadership experience engages girls in discovering themselves, connecting with others, and taking action to make the world a better place. Girl scout program activities are usually Girl led and encourage learning by doing (experiential learning), and cooperative learning. Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey provides an array of program activities including sciencetechnologyengineeringartsm... (steam), environmental education and camping, the largest financial literacy program for girls in the world-the cookie program, financial literacy, college preparation and anti-aggression (bullying).the organization's operations have been affected by the ongoing outbreak of the coronavirus disease (covid-19), which was declared a pandemic by the world health organization in march 2020. Management is actively monitoring the effect of the global situation on its financial condition, liquidity, operations, industry and workforce. Given the uncertainty around the extent and timing of the potential future spread or mitigation of covid-19 and around the imposition or relaxation of protective measures, management is unable to predict the extent or nature of these impacts, if any, at this time.
