Nationwide Children's Hospital

Nationwide Children's Hospital, Inc. (nch Inc.) was formed to operate a tax-exempt Hospital and now owns and operates tax-exempt Hospital facilities and other health care facilities in columbus, Ohio. Its primary purpose is to promote Children's health care in the central Ohio community. Founded in 1892, nch Inc. has developed into one of the largest and most sophisticated health care centers in the country, featuring 627 inpatient beds at its Hospital, Nationwide Children's Hospital (Nationwide children's), including critical care units, transplant services, pediatric sub-specialists and surgical facilities. Nationwide Children's is a level 1 trauma center, the highest award a trauma center can receive. There were more than 1.7 million patient visits in 2022. Nationwide Children's delivers high-quality cost-effective care to all children, from newborns through age 21, regardless of the patient's ability to pay. Nationwide Children's ranked in all 10 specialities in u.s. news & world report's list of "america's best Children's hospitals".
