Program areas at NYCID

NYCID's Youth Development programs cover a wide variety of educational, after school, and diploma bearing program services range in support services such as counseling, mentoring, career and post-secondary exploration, leadership, parent engagement We work with at-risk youth, some of whom are on probation to change attitudes and behaviors that have prevented them from achieving success. A total of 8,341 people served for the year ended June 30, 2023.
NYCID's Training Institute specializes in designing and facilitating dynamic training and workshops serving the needs and interests of our professional staff as well as our partnering clients schools, public and private agencies, businesses, community groups, parents and individuals Our trainings range from basic and advanced mediation, coaching, youth development, leadership and effective communication using best-practice methods. NYCID will customized trainings to meet needs of the client providing participants with concepts, strategies, and techniques that are highly relevant to their professional and personal lives. A total of 925 people were serviced in the year ended June 30, 2023.
NYCID's Conflict Management services help disputing parties resolve conflicts with a trained third-party neutral that assists the parties in possible solutions to resolve their dispute NYCIDs program range from Court-based programs in Richmond Countys Supreme, Civil and Criminal Court Our programs range from small claims, housing, parent-teen, special education, vocational rehabilitation, criminal complaints and lemon law arbitration NYCID also resolves community disputes and works in school based programs in mediation and restorative Justice in schools located in Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Manhattan to implement approaches that decrease suspension and detention rates. A total of 938 people were serviced in the year ended June 30, 2023.
