Program areas at Spelman College

Instruction, student services, and academic support founded in 1881, Spelman College is a private, nonprofit institution of higher education based in atlanta, Georgia. The College is accredited by the commission on colleges of the southern association of colleges and schools and provides quality liberal arts education and training services for approximately 2,100 undergraduate students. In addition, the College maintains special programs such as continuing education, summer science and dual degrees in engineering. Spelman College also provides a dynamic and interactive campus community with a variety of diverse programs and services designed to enhance the personal growth and development of its students. Academic support services includes departments that provide tutoring and academic support programs. Academic support services also partners with the student success program, which provides course support for students to master course content and ultimately attain their academic goals.
Research Spelman College performs research, training, and other similar services under grants with governmental agencies or sponsoring organizations.
Auxiliary enterprises as a residential liberal arts College, Spelman College provides on campus housing for approximately 1,400 students. Spelman also provides dining services to its residential students, as well as commuter students, faculty, staff and others. Spelman operates a 500 space parking deck for faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, Spelman offers a variety of summer conferences for high school students and other interested students.
