We offer 29 undergraduate bachelors degrees and 9 graduate degree program within 5 academic programs: (a) the ferr rangel school of communication, (b) the school of arts, design and creative industries, (c) the business administration school, (d) the school of health and sciences. At this time there are 51 minor concentrations and (e) the general education unit. All of the undergraduate and graduate programs have been approved by the state licensing authority the board of postsecundary institutions (in spanish junta de instituciones postsecundarias) and the university is accredited by the middle states commission on higher education. Sagrado offers a variety of support services geared towards facilitation the appropriate academic and personal development of students. The office of integrated assistance offers services related to state and federal financial aid programs. Institutional and private scholarships seek to support eligible students who are committed to their studies. Among others, we offer the following institutional scholarships httpswwwsagradoedubecassagrado athletic scholarships available to eligible students who meet admission standards to cover all or part of the expenses associated with his/her studies. The exceptional student fund is a program by which an individual or business provides substantial financial support for a student to complete an academic program. The goal of this program is to support the academic excellence and leadership of those students who have significant financial need to cover the costs of the studies. The Sagrado achievers program provides financial support for so that students can complete their university studies within the time established in their study plan. Sagrado nursing achievers primary-care program provides an educational opportunity scholarship to students who are interested in completing a nursing career in a face-to-face program and who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Private scholarships provides financial support for a student to complete an academic program in a given discipline. The professional experiences center (Sagrado careers) offers services that contribute to the students professional development and placement and increase their employability by integrating relevant work experiences with academic training. Student advisory services has a team of advisors who support students to achieve their academic and professional goals through evaluation, analysis and the search for opportunities for development. Among the services available are: academic advisors, equity and accessibility advisors and financial advisors. Sofia center provides psycho-spiritual accompaniment services to students and contributes in the formation of leaders through experiences and programs focused on social action, service learning, and volunteering, and projects directed to the dialogue between theology and the different scientific and humanistic disciplines.
Sagrado offers a co-curricular experience that supports the students curricular and academic program such as: collaborative innovation center (neeuko) is a multidisciplinary space that provides access to design and innovation tools and services to students and members of the surrounding communities. Its focus is to promote the development of ideas, projects and businesses and contribute to the areas of economic growth. Elemento 360 is a student-run communication firm that provides professional communication, marketing, and production services to clients such as non- profit organizations, and small and medium enterprises (pymes). Entremedios is a student-run content-generating space that provides a hands-on learning experience for students through the production of journalistic material to be published in puerto ricos local media and other independent media. Sagrado international provides students the opportunity to study abroad through different types of programs that vary in duration and content. Art gallery offers its exhibition space to students, professional artists, art teachers, and emerging artists from the community. Studio of creative technologies (studio lab) is a laboratory and digital production center designed to create 3d animation, visualization and immersive media for multiple uses and purposes. The sofia center provides students with opportunities with service learning and volunteer services.
The office of student affairs offers a variety of services that promote the students extracurricular activities that we call student life and serve to facilitate the students comprehensive development, personal growth and the achievement of academic goals. Residences. Sagrado has two university residences to provide accommodation to students: womens residence (with 177 double rooms) and mens residences (with 98 double rooms). The university residences are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during each academic period, except during periods of academic recess or institutional closures. Athletic and recreational activities. Sagrado is a member of puerto ricos interuniversity athletic league (known in spanish as lai). The athletic program is oriented to the promotion and participation of students in all sports activities. It is a fundamental part of student life at Sagrado, whose objective is to contribute to the students physical, mental, and academic growth and its integral well-being. The student council. It is the students representative body that is elected by the students annually. It encourages and channels the student bodys effective participation in institutional life. Students organizations. The student body has full freedom of association within a mutual respect framework that helps maintain a climate of solidarity and appropriate human relations. Student organizations participate in activities that are compatible with existing standards.
