During the 2021-2022 season, we were able to reopen the Theater after the covid-19 shutdown and perform live Theater again, create a revenue stream, and continue fulfilling the goals of our mission statement.we completed updates to the backstage area of the theater.act has formed a diversity and inclusion committee and received a grant to support this groups' efforts. The vision for this project includes establishing a series of events and performance spaces for folks in the lgbtqia+ community and those persons with disabilities. Funding was made possible by the Oregon community foundation. Act has partnered with local community organizations like the naacp, c.h.a.n.c.e recovery, the Albany downtown association, the Oregon community Theater association, and the non-profit association of Oregon to provide funding, performance space, and networking opportunities for volunteers.during the covid shutdown, act produced three radio dramas. These recordings are still available to listen to for free on our website.in the 2021-22 season, act produced seven live Theater events including a broadway review, all together now and a youth camp production of disney's frozen jr. These seven shows were comprised of 60 performances with almost 4000 people in attendance. In addition to live performances, act added live-stream and on demand broadcasts of our shows, when available, for folks who can not attend in person.during the pandemic Albany Civic Theater was awarded an endowment fund that will help us for years to come in making improvements to our building. Currently we are working on structural improvements, completing the renovation of our backstage area and updating our marquee. Since our Theater is in a historic building, we are working closely with the city of Albany to make sure we are in compliance with Albany's historic preservation program.
