Amachi Pittsburgh supported over 270 program participants including youth, parents/caregivers and mentors through mentoring and family strenthening activities with emphasis on addressing the longer-term social, emotional, and economic impacts of the covid-19 pandemic as well as building parterships with mental health agencies to help address increasing mental health needs in the community.
Through the Amachi ambassadors youth leadership development program, Amachi offered a variety of skill-building activities centered around civic engagement, advocacy, equity and social justice. Programming was offered in a hybrid format, leveraging opportunities to connect virtually and in-person as much as safely possible.
