Program areas at Arizona Council on Economic Education
ACEE has significantly innovated and made all of our programs more accessible as a result of the COVID19 pandemic to address student learning losses and stepped up support to teachers and students. The ACEE system, partnerships, and supporters became strengthened and more committed through this challenging time with our mission to reach and teach all students in Arizona to become financially and economically literate. Our financials continue to be stable throughout the pandemic. In 2022, ACEE provided professional development to 2,248 K12 teachers, and served 337,200 socioeconomically diverse students from 625 public, charter, tribal, home, private, and juvenile detention schools statewide through 179 programs with our partners. Seventy percent of the students were from low to moderate income families living in 84 cities including the most remote and rural areas of all 15 counties. ACEE was nationally recognized as the Council of the Year, the highest honor in economic education, for its outstanding service and innovation. Seven hundred and nineteen corporate and community volunteers stepped up to make a difference as judges, classroom speakers, financial fitness coaches, trainers, and advisors through 55 ACEE program events in 2022. ACEE teacher programs continue to bring economics to everyday life for teachers to use with their students from Apache and Mohave to Cochise counties. Our innovative programs such as the Economics of Food Delivery were featured at the 61st annual National Financial Literacy and Economics conference. With your support, ACEEs student programs including Financial Fitness in Action, Mayors Challenge for Economic Education, Economic Concepts Poster Contest and the Stock Market Game reached a record 84 percent increase from last year. Innovative financial and economic education programs to support entrepreneurship and math learning are getting the attention of teachers and benefiting the students. Continued in Schedule O.
