Program areas at Arthur Center Community Health
The organization provides Community based psychiatric rehabilitation Services to seriously and persistently mentally ill adults. This includes individuals with schizophrenia, serious depression, bipolar (manic depressive illness), panic, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, severe phobias and borderline personality disorder. Our Services include Community support (provided by a Community support worker), activities (educational and social activities), and medication Services (psychiatrists work with the Community support worker to provide the best care). We provide supported employment Services to assist people with a mental illness or developmental disability in returning to the workforce which includes finding a job suitable for the individual, job coaching and support. This program served 1300 individuals in 2022.
We provide outpatient Services that include psychiatric/psychological evaluations (conducted by a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner for ages 3 years and up), individual psychotherapy (conducted by a licensed therapist),group psychotherapy counseling (facilitated by licensed therapists), medication management (conducted by a psychiatrist or by licensed therapists), nursing support (including assistance with medication issues and patient assistance programs) behavioral wellness, primary care, dental care, contract pharmacy and education programs to the Community at large. In 2022, women's Health was added to outpatient Services. In total, outpatient Services were provided to 10,000 patients in the clinic.
We provide case management, medication management, Community support, family support, and therapy/counseling by professional staff (credentials in psychology, sociology, counseling, or social work) to children or youth with a mental Health diagnosis. Our goal is for children and youth with a mental Health diagnosis to be successful at home, school and in the Community. Approximately 600 youths were served by this program in 2022.
