HOWEVER, IN COMPARISON TO MANY OTHER ORGANIZATIONS OF SIMILAR SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY, AS A NONPROFIT, SPIRITUALLY-CENTERED HEALTHCARE SYSTEM, ASCENSION DIFFERENTIATES ITSELF IN TERMS OF MISSION, PRIORITIES AND CHALLENGES. IN FISCAL YEAR 2022 ALONE, ASCENSION HEALTH PROVIDED $2.3 BILLION IN CARE OF PERSONS LIVING IN POVERTY AND COMMUNITY BENEFIT PROGRAMS.
