Program areas at Atlanta Bar Foundation

Lawyer referral service section of the Atlanta Bar association provides grants for pro bono legal services for those who cannot afford an attorney, but need legal help.
Funding to the Atlanta Bar association summer law internship program provides mentoring and summer employment to high school students, the majority of whom are minorities and from disadvantaged backgrounds. The program introduces the students to the legal profession and the practice of law, provides summer employment and mentoring to ensure success in their summer job and in future employment, encourages them to go to college to achieve their individual goals and provides mentoring to assist them in this process.
Grants from various practice sections of the Atlanta Bar association for the benefit of recipients as deemed appropriate by the section leadership.
Other grants awarded include minority clerkship program, scholarships for children of police officers slain in the line of duty and various other grants related to the legal profession.
