Program areas at Atlanta Mission
Atlanta Mission served over 2,000 individuals this year across four campuses. We provide programs and services that focus on each client's physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and vocational development, regardless of race, gender, background, or religion. Services include emergency and overnight shelter, meals, laundry facilities, primary healthcare, trauma-informed mental health counseling, group therapy, addiction recovery, vocational training, job placement and retention coaching, basic legal aid, childcare, afterschool and preschool programming, and more. Graduates of our @work vocational program had a job retention rate of 72%. Atlanta Mission served over 438,000 meals, provided in excess of 145,000 nights of shelter and ended homelessness for 425 individuals.
Donated clothing, household goods and other merchandise are used by our clients at our four campuses or sold at discount prices through our four thrift stores as a service to the community. The net proceeds from our thrift stores support the exempt purposes of Atlanta Mission.
