The Auxiliary To Driscoll Children's Hospital was formed and supports the Driscoll Children's Hospital. The Driscoll Children's Hospital received its determination letter july 2, 1991, notifying it of its exempt status under section 509(a)(1) and 179(b)(1)(a)(iii) of the interal revenue code. The members of the Auxiliary furnish services on a volunteer basis. Funds derived from operation of the gift shop and other activities are used To purchase equipment and furnishings for the Hospital and gifts for the patients. A large percentage of the patients are disadvantaged and have no means To pay for the medical care provided by the Hospital.
Spirit scholarships - the Auxiliary To Driscoll Children's Hospital also provides college scholarships To students who have a record of volunteer service as an auxilian at Driscoll Children's Hospital.
