In the 2021-2022 fiscal year, Boys & Girls Clubs of greater Kalamazoo (bgc) had a tremendous year. Bgc operated 5 sites throughout the year, serving 762 members, 94% of which qualify for free/reduced lunch. Over 10,000 meals were served after school, during school breaks, during the summer months, and through holiday meal packages for families. Throughout the course of the year, bgc used evidence-based continuous improvement practices to increase quality and program impact. Bgc focused on social emotional programming to support our member's growth to productive adulthood. In addition to social emotional learning, targeted programs were facilitated in the areas of: education, career development, health, life skills, sports & recreation, and leadership
