Program areas at Broadwater Productions Grandstreet Theatre
Grandstreet produces eight mainstage Productions annually in our 200-seat beautiful turn-of-the-century romanesque granite church. Sustained by approximately 200 volunteers from an exceptionally talented population, Grandstreet's mainstage Productions bring in approximately 17,000 audience members annually. For 47 years, Grandstreet Theatre has provided Montana's capital region with opportunities to experience and participate in locally grown, sustainable, world class Theatre.
Grandstreet summer Theatre school is a more than 36-year tradition that is attended by around 400 students each year. The summer faculty is comprised of professional actor/teachers who perform in our summer season and teach classes for our camp. We also offer mini-camps on specialized topics.
Grandstreet Theatre school is widely regarded as one of the finest after-school Theatre programs of its kind anywhere in the country. In 2015, director of education marianne adams was selected by the american Theatre wing as one of the top three Theatre educators in the u.s. and was considered a tony nominee in the first year of their distinguished Theatre educator tony award. She was also awarded the freddy gershon fellowship, an award from music Theatre international for outstanding Theatre education leadership. Our Theatre school has regularly garnered top awards at the national junior Theatre festival in the past 10 years. Our Theatre school is more than 36 years old and regularly enrolls more than 350 attendees each school year.
