Program areas at Capitol Land Trust

In 2022, Capitol Land Trust (clt) conserved 99 acres of Land, resulting in a total of 6,579 acres conserved in the south puget sound and chehalis basin watersheds. Clt continued to monitor and manage existing conservation lands to enhance habitat values. Work was done to complete a large-scale restoration planting project along lower eld inlet and design, permitting and site development planning continued for inspiring kids preserve. Clt acquired an additional 4 acres adjacent to bayshore preserve to develop school bus turnaround access, improve parking, and increase protection of previously acquired property. The organization continues to connect people to conserved lands by facilitating recreation on key preserves, partnering with youth serving organizations and school districts to get kids on the Land, and by hosting a series of salmon viewing days at bayshore preserve.
