Carousel Child Advocacy Center

In FY 2022/23, Carousel served 619 unduplicated child abuse survivors and their non-offending adult caregivers. Of the child survivors last year, 30% were Brunswick children; 55% were New Hanover children; 10% were Pender children; and 5% were from outside the tri-county area. The team conducted 320 child medical exams and 357 forensic interviews; had 590 family advocacy contacts, and 207 children engaged in trauma therapy services - regardless of insurance, economic status, or ability to self-pay.
