Program areas at Cathedral Arts Project

Cap's mission is to empower creative spirits. During 2022-2023, cap enrolled 1,918 students in 122 yearlong programs in afterschool Arts education, school day Arts integration and therapeutic Arts services at 47 sites. Students had the opportunity to participate in 47 performance and exhibition opportunities, impacting a total audience of 5,530. On average, 78% of students demonstrated improvement in expressing anger and conflict appropriately, 80% demonstrated improvement in communicating with adults, 85% showed improvement in communicating with peers, 85% showed improvement in task completion and 91% demonstrated improvement in producing their art form. In addition to a support staff of 14, cap employed four full-time teaching artist fellows, 20 part-time teaching artists and 21 part-time classroom assistants to work with children and youth. This allowed for a student/teacher ratio of 16:1.
