Child welfare-program services include pregnancy counseling, adoptive placement, temporary foster care for infants, and specialized foster care for teen mothers and their children.
Soup kitchens & community services-the soup kitchen program provides free nutrition, meals and personal needs to individuals and families. A senior outreach program is provided in conjunction with the council on aging.
Counseling services-therapy services are provided for children and adults on a variety of issues, and substance abuse treatment is offered on an outpatient basis. Prevention services and education groups are offered for children and parents in relation to divorce and chemical dependency.
Center for hope-the center for hope provides a community closet, mini clinic health services, laundry room, showers, hot meals, and a warming center. Offender success-offender success is a public-private partnership that relies on collaboration between the Michigan department of corrections, human service providers and private companies who share a vested interest in safer communities and opportunities for all. Catholic charites serves as the administrative agency in region 6 and is contracted by mdoc to provide a variety of supports to returning citizens referred by their parole agent. This includes transitional housing, employment readiness, basic personal needs and behavioral health counseling. Housing-rent assistance and eviction avoidance funding is offered to qualifying members of the community. Community warehouse-donated goods from large corporations, such as amazon and walmart, are made available to purchase at significant discounts off the normal retail value on a membership basis.
