Program areas at Chicago Center for Music Education

Through our partnerships with Chicago public schools, we are able to provide Music Education to every child in every School we serve. Our therapeutic model for classroom Music caters to both self-contained and inclusion classrooms where Music therapy strategies are used with children who have diverse abilities to ensure learning and participation for all. Our performance model for classroom Music strives to bring the entire community together via performances throughout the year in the communities we serve. Through our programs and Music services, we serve over 2,500 children every year at our location in west town and twelve partner organizations, seven of which are Chicago public elementary schools. Approximately 40% of the children we serve have diverse learning needs and 70% come from economically disadvantaged families.
