Corporate purposechildren's Hospital Medical Practice corporation (chmpc), a non-profit subsidiary corporation of children'Childrens's Hospital, was initiated to provide medically under-served geographic areas with convenient access to quality, cost-effective pediatric primary care.the purpose of this corporation, consistent with the objectives for which our tax exemption was filed, includes the following:1. To acquire Medical practices and develop new start-up practices to improve access to children'Childrens's health services for all levels of economic status.2. To employ quality physicians and other clinicians.3. To Practice medicine in conjunction with and in support of the patient care mission of children'Childrens's hospital.4. To develop, in conjunction with children'Childrens's Hospital, an integrated and geographically diverse pediatric health care delivery system.5. To provide cost-effective, comprehensive pediatric care to the communities served by children'Childrens's Hospital and its affiliates through strong utilization review practices.6. To ensure quality pediatric care delivery through strong quality assurance practices.children's Hospital Medical Practice corporation was incorporated on february 8, 1996, as a tax exempt, non-profit organization under the Louisiana revised statutes of title 12 and the federal section 501 (c)(3) of the internal revenue code.serving the communityin january 2012, Louisiana medicaid began the coordinated care network (ccn). Chmpc clinics participate in all medicaid ccns.physicians employed by chmpc demonstrate their commitment to the purpose of the corporation through numerous community activities. Chmpc employees are active in many educational forums including presentations at schools and community groups, serving as local board members, and disseminating information on various children'Childrens's issues.other clinics chmpc not only serves the needs of under served areas of the city of new orleans but has also established other practices throughout the city to meet the pediatric health care needs of the entire community.effective april 1, 1997, napoleon pediatrics joined chmpc. The clinic has six physicians practicing in two locations accessible by public transportation. The first location is 3700 st. charles avenue, suite 700 in new orleans. The second location is 3040 33rd street in metairie. The physicians are drs. Paul remedios, tammy senentz, michael heller, brandace hider, amanda williams, and todd schwartzlow. Patient visits in 2022 totaled 24,987 with 58.08% medicaid for both locations. Effective october 25, 1999, northlake pediatrics joined chmpc. The clinic was located on the north shore of lake pontchartrain at 725 w. 11th street in covington, la. In may of 2020, the clinic relocated to a newly renovated space at 5025 keystone blvd in covington. The name was changed to children'Childrens's Hospital pediatrics, specialty care, and outpatient therapy. The sole physician is dr. stephen mikell. Patient visits in 2022 totaled 2,957 with 61.14% medicaid.effective may 1, 2002, lakeside children'Childrens's clinic joined chmpc. In 2018 lakeside children'Childrens's clinic changed their name to children'Childrens's pediatrics lakeside and moved to 4845 veterans blvd in metairie. The clinic has six physicians practicing at 4740 s. i-10 service road in metairie. This location is accessible by public transportation. The physicians are drs. Elizabeth adams, keith kappel, anthony hudson, claire neumann, and joanna buckingham. Patient visits were 15,933 with 58.54% medicaid for the year ending december 31, 2022.on june 1, 2003, klein lawrence pediatrics joined children'Childrens's Hospital Medical Practice corporation. In july 2011, the clinic changed its name to pelican pediatric physicians. One office is located at 3100 kingman street, suite 110 in metairie and is accessible by public transportation. The second location was located at 501 rue de sante, suite 13 in la place. In 2018, this clinic changed its name to children'Childrens's pediatrics laplace and moved to 2840 w. airline highway in laplace. The laplace location closed in 2021 after hurricane ida. The physicians are drs. Reita lawrence, jaime michel, karen kern and brandi naccari. 7,385 patients were seen, 51.82% medicaid, for the year ending december 31, 2022. Effective july 1, 2004, ormond pediatric group joined chmpc. The physicians are drs. Thomas babin and dr. isabel remedios. The clinic is located at 141 ormond center court in destrehan. In 2022, ormond pediatric group experienced 10,459 patient visits. In november of 2019, ormond pediatric group began accepting medicaid. Medicaid patients currently make up 37.25% of their volume. In september of 2021, three providers joined this Practice after losing their building in laplace, la during hurricane ida. Ormond pediatrics graciously welcomed drs. Reita lawrence, karen kern, jaime michel, and brandi naccari who also currently Practice at pelican pediatrics. Effective january 1, 2006, metairie pediatrics joined chmpc. Drs. John barbara and mark morici, cary culbertson & paige oliver staff the clinic. Metairie pediatrics is located at 2201 veterans memorial boulevard, suite 300 in metairie and is accessible by public transportation. Patient visits were 17,912 in 2022 with 44.22% being medicaid.effective may 15, 2011, children'Childrens's pediatrics westbank joined chmpc. Drs. Stephanie arnaud, otto remedios, and brandace hider staff the clinic located at 829 barataria blvd in marrero. In 2022 they had 8,223 patient visits, 65.67% are medicaid patients.effective september 17, 2018, children'Childrens's pediatrics carousel joined chmpc. Drs. James treadway, amber severio, and stephanie graebert staff the clinic. Children'Childrens's pediatrics carousel is located at 4224 houma blvd, suite 240 in metairie and is adjacent to east jefferson Hospital. It is accessible by public transportation. Patient visits were 9,205 in 2022 with 51.85% being medicaid. Effective september 24, 2018, children'Childrens's pediatrics slidell joined chmpc. Drs. John firestone, and karen kern staff the clinic. In june of 2022, dr. helen stevenson merged her Practice with ours along with her two nurse practitioners, lauren davis, and christina foret. Children'Childrens's pediatrics slidell is located at 3020 gauze blvd. In slidell. Patient visits were 7,407 in 2022 with 66.43% being medicaid.effective march 1, 2019, children'Childrens's pediatrics tulane joined chmpc. On january 1, 2021, the clinic became a collaborative effort between chmpc, tulane, and lsu healthcare networks. The clinic is staffed by lsu and tulane pediatricians and serves as a training facility for tulane and lsu residents. The clinic experienced 13,640 visits in 2022, of which 78.31% were medicaid. Effective december 1, 2021, rainbow pediatrics joined chmpc. Drs. Wendi defrank and nicole jones staff the clinic. Rainbow pediatrics is located at 451 rue desante in laplace. Patient visits were 8,544 in 2022 with 40.09% being medicaid.
