See schedule o.god is working through Cbe in our continual pursuit to reach more people worldwide with the Biblical message that women and men were created for mutuality. We have reached over one million people through Cbe's new website, christian radio spots, and with the help of our multimedia resources that were launched in 2022. The new website gives Cbe a robust platform to organize and promote our ever-growing content in over seventeen languages.cbe's website houses and promotes thousands of articles and multimedia resources to educate and equip Christians on women's shared leadership and authority in the church, home, and world. Using this vast array of online resources, Cbe uniquely engaged an extensive global network of ministry partners: women and men who are thought-leaders, humanitarians, Biblical scholars, and gospel pioneers from over one-hundred denominations and sixty-five countries. This network disseminated Cbe's award-winning resources to many cultures, ages, educational levels, denominations, and vocations. Together we prayerfully and skillfully promoted women's leadership by creating and leveraging resources that reveal the Biblical and moral flaws of christian and cultural patriarchy.due to covid, Cbe's 2022 atlanta conference was our first in-person conference since 2019. The conference included many pioneering sessions, including a panel discussion featuring Cbe's bible translation team. 186 individuals attended the conference in person and eighty-two additional individuals viewed the keynote sessions through facebook live. These lectures are available on Cbe's website, and youtube and soundcloud channels.to shift and adapt our work to address cultural differences, in 2022 we incorporated a commitment to the intersection of race and gender in Cbe board and staff policies, manuals, and practices, and via revisions to our mission and core value statements. During Cbe's conference, rev. Michelle williams of shalom consulting, led a leadership luncheon and general workshops for "women leading justice and reconciliation efforts and "using our collective courage to live out galatians 3:28." Delivering the message of mutuality on Cbe's website - Cbe launched a new website in october 2022 with an updated logo and new colors, and translations into seventeen languages. Total website pageviews for fiscal year 2023 were over 1.2 million. The average visit duration for a web user increased 32.9 percent and the percentage of visitors that leave a webpage without taking an action decreased 35.5 percent. Total pageviews for priscilla papers, our academic journal, was 416,746. Total pageviews for mutuality, our popular magazine, was 562,056. These stats show that Cbe's website user engagement increased significantly creating larger impact for global audiences. People worldwide have access to Cbe's articles, journal, magazine, blog, and podcast for free online. Cbe's 2022 International conference lectures were added in november 2022 and are also available for free online in audio or video format.priscilla papers received 4,106 requests and mutuality received 3,452 requests on jstor's open community collections, where millions of researchers worldwide can access these free of charge. Cbe also partnered with fuller theological seminary to provide content for three online courses that gave significant visibility to Cbe's mission. Most of the links provided in these courses connected to Cbe resources. All three courses received a total of 2,464 page views. Using multimedia resources to reach more people - in 2022, Cbe partnered with salem media in atlanta to broadcast radio spots that highlight women in scripture and missions. The messages show that women were created in god's image to share leadership with men. Considering the success of this program, we hired a translator to provide radio spots in spanish. These spots began airing on salem media's dallas spanish stations in february 2023. Listeners are invited to visit ministrywomen.org for more information. There have been over fourteen thousand views on this web page since we began running radio spots in atlanta, Georgia, on february 28, 2022! We have seen a five-percent increase in traffic to the website within eight minutes of our thirty-second spanish radio spots weekly. And more than a two-percent increase in traffic to the website within eight minutes of our thirty-second english radio spots weekly.in april 2022, we launched our first elearning course to introduce people to the basics of Biblical mutuality for women and men. We now have three elearning courses on Cbe's website, and we are working on a fourth course. There have been 5,200 pageviews since the first elearning course was launched and 115 people have begun one of the courses. Between april and september 2022, the elearning website page received an average of 553 pageviews each quarter. After the redesign of Cbe's website and the second course was added, pageviews increased to 1,072 pageviews between october and december 2022. Cbe's co-created elearning courses on fuller theological seminary's platform are being promoted by fuller and Cbe for purchase.cbe produces weekly podcast episodes exploring egalitarian teachings and their impact. The podcast is comprised of four themes: race and gender, new voices, women and male allies, and global issues. The podcast reaches eighty known countries. During fiscal year 2023, there were 22,822 downloads and an average of seven-percent increase in downloads per quarter. Distributing life changing resources at events - for fy2023, over four hundred copies of priscilla papers and over four hundred copies of mutuality were distributed through subscriptions.cbe advocates for women's leadership at the highly influential evangelical theological society (ets) annual meetings. At these events, Cbe holds a book/article/information table, and we co-lead a study section while sharing oversight of eight hours of invited and proposed papers. Three hundred journals and twenty-eight books were distributed at the ets annual meeting in november 2022. In addition, over 125 journals were distributed at the nazarene theological seminary conference in september 2022. Preparing women to lead - Cbe awarded three $6,000 alvera mickelsen memorial scholarships to 1) an american missionary in papua new guinea pursuing an mdiv, 2) an american missionary in south africa who focuses on teaching Biblical literacy and who is pursuing an ma in Biblical and theological studies, and 3) a jamaican pastor pursuing an ma in theological studies. Each of these women expressed how receiving Cbe's scholarship was an answer to their prayers for financial support and an affirmation of their calling. The annual scholarships help women pursuing master's degrees in ministry fields related to preaching, communications, writing, youth ministry, pastoring, or nonprofit work. See winners and watch videos of how these scholarships have been a game-changer for women students at cbe.today/ammsstories.creating gender-accurate bible translations - an International team of bible scholars is translating over five hundred bible verses (nearly seventy different passages) to improve flawed translations that demean women and foster abuse. Their work will provide exegetically-sound, gender-accurate, and accessible english translations, as well as commentary explaining the translators' revisions. By improving the translation of these texts, and elevating those that support women's shared leadership with men, we fairly represent women as scripture, in the original languages, intended.a final draft of the commentary's introduction and a first draft of the commentary on all texts from the torah, gospels, acts, and paul's letters have been written. The team's translation work is now featured on Cbe's podcast, mutuality matters: see "women and words: why bible translations matters."
See schedule o.bringing voices together to consider egalitarian issues - Cbe's 2022 International conference was held in atlanta in 2022. We explored the "fullness of galatians 3:28: "there is neither jew nor gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in christ jesus." We sold 131 paid registrations and free online viewing of keynote sessions was available through facebook live. Lectures are also available for free on Cbe's youtube and soundcloud channels.there were seven keynote sessions including a panel discussion featuring Cbe's bible translation team, twenty-one workshops, and a student paper session where three papers were presented. Cbe's president moderated an author panel for Cbe's new published book, created to thrive: creating abuse-free faith communities, and a workshop panel discussing "women at the margins: leaders in christian history." Cbe honored leaders who have energized our movement and advanced human flourishing globally with three lifetime achievement awards, one priscilla and aquila award, and three micah awards.advancing Biblical Equality in sub-saharan africa - Cbe's partners in sub-saharan africa are busy conducting workshops and conferences to tear down patriarchy that has been causing gender-based violence, child marriages, and other injustices suffered by women. They work tirelessly with youth, married couples, and other community leaders educating and advocating for women's Biblical equality.in 2022, these partners submitted reports showing much impact. The following are highlights from those reports. The women's conference in kamuli was initially meant only for women but was changed to include men because of how impactful the message had been at a pastoral training. One of the pastors said, "this training changed my life yesterday, and i want men to also hear and benefit from the message you have brought. A message of respect, dignity, love, and seeing women as great partners." The pastor training in bugiri was received with enthusiasm. Participants used Cbe's side by side booklet to discuss prominent bible verses in groups, which increased their ability to address the related texts. Most of the pastors have never been to seminary or a theological school. One pastor said, "i have finally been enlightened on ephesians 5:21-22." Then he started talking to his wife, also in attendance, about some key points in the presentation. The common response was that the training was a timely encouragement for the pastors to be a voice for the voiceless.the kaabong women's conference was a powerful conference attended by over ninety women under the theme "know your true identity." The women were very eager and enthusiastic. One of them said her "church faces challenges in ministry because they don't listen to her suggestions. She's often overlooked." She promised to challenge the men using the scripture she learned, especially genesis 1:26. By the end of the conference, the women appreciated themselves as made in god's image.male champion training in kaboong district, uganda, brought about a change in mindset and appreciation towards women. Discussion topics included positive masculinity, gender-based violence (gbv), early pregnancy, forced marriage, and women's participation/leadership in the church and community. The leader of scripture for kaboong's senior secondary school promised to continue with group discussions to better understand scripture that supports Equality between women and men using the side by side booklets given to them. He confessed he "learned a lot and promised to fight for girls' rights at school and in the community. "award-winning projects - Cbe's mutuality magazine received fourth place, best in class, for its summer 2022 issue of the fullness of galatians 3:28. Cbe's academic journal, priscilla papers, received a fifth place award in the personality category for "remembering sarah jane lancaster without forgetting winifred kiek: just who was the first female minister in australia?" Cbe's new website was awarded a marcom platinum marketing award in november 2022, which is marcom's highest honor. Cbe is compliant with the evangelical council of financial accountability, earned a 100 percent 4-star rating from charity navigator, transparency certificate from excellence in giving, and platinum transparency award from guidestar.
