In a world characterized by increasing population density, human mobility, and ecological change, emerging infectious diseases pose a real and growing threat to global health security. Epidemic diseases affect everybody, and do not respect borders. Vaccines are one of themost powerful tools in the fight to outsmart epidemics. Cepi Us's mission is to stimulate and accelerate the development of vaccines against emerging infectious diseases and enable equitable access to these vaccines for affected populations during outbreaks. Cepi is an innovative global Coalition of public, private, philanthropic, and civil society organizations with whom we work in partnership close collaboration with global partners will be crucial to the success of cepis work to develop vaccines against emerging (see schedule o) infectious diseases. Therefore, cepi will support coordinating activities to improve our collective response to epidemics, strengthening capacity in countries at risk, and advancing the regulatory science that governs product development.
