Colorado Health Institute (CHI) is a trusted and leading source of credible health information, data and analysis for Colorado health care leaders. CHI provides sophisticated, evidence-based information that can help policy-makers reach sound decisions. Our insight is used to inform policy, contribute to effective policy implementation and support state efforts to improve health.
The Colorado Health Institute (chi) believes that good Health policy leads to a healthier Colorado. Every day we bring research, insight, and expertise to leaders across the state because informed decisions lead to better Health for all. Chi is a not-for-profit corporation established on november 12, 2002, to fill a need for nonpartisan, independent data and evidence-based analysis to support decision-makers. Today, we provide not just analysis and data, but strategic planning, facilitation, complex modeling, evaluation, and strategic communication. Chi was established through three equal grants from caring for Colorado foundation, the Colorado trust, and rose community foundation. These foundations continue to provide some operational funding to chi. We are also supported by additional philanthropic funders who share our mission of advancing Health and Health equity through mission-driven community benefit work. Contract income is derived from contracts to provide Health data and analysis information to various state and local government agencies as well as many not-for-profit organizations throughout Colorado.
