Programming and production expenses consist of staff and related expenses to broadcast three distinct formats cpr news and krcc, cpr classical, and indie 102.3, on air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as well as three distinct websites, cpr.org, krcc.org, and denverite.com. Broadcast Radio audience reach was approximately 559,000 weekly (source: nielsen fall 2022/spring 2023). Monthly digital audiences included 1,033,000 online visitors for cpr.org/krcc.org, 340,000 visitors to denverite.com, and 227,000 streaming listeners. In addition, podcasts produced by Colorado Public Radio were downloaded more than 2 million times in fy23, and there were 86,000 subscribers to cpr and krcc newsletters.
Broadcasting expenses consist of staff and related expenses to support the programming, including maintenance of all transmission sites and technical systems that support a statewide network of 52 transmitters and translators.
