Program areas at Countryside Farmers' Market
Countryside is a nonprofit, created in 1999 to work in partnership with Cuyahoga Valley national park to help find solutions to the disappearing rural landscape in the park. Since then, over a dozen historic farmsteads and nearly 300 acres were rehabilitated in cvnp. Our farm programs include the national park's rural landscape and farm lease program, and in 2018 we launched our new farmer academy, building career pathways for aspiring farmers through paid internships. To date we have had 14 interns in the program and worked with 19 mentor farms across northeast Ohio to provide valuable classroom and hands-on learning for the students. We continue to grow and expand the revitalization of the park's rural landscape and grow these resources for a broader community use in the future.
Countryside Farmers' markets and community food access: in 2004 we started Farmers' markets to connect consumers to local, fresh for paperwork reduction act notice, see the instructions for form 990 or 990-ez.
