Program areas at Domestic Violence Intervention Services

Residential:the shelter serves women and children who are homeless due to Domestic Violence and sexual assault. The 90 bed facility offers safe housing, counseling, referrals and case management Services. 346 women and children were served during 21-22 at the shelter. The transitional housing program facilitates the transition of survivors and their children to independent permanent housing. 110 women and children were served at transitional housing during 2022.
Legal/court advocacy:the legal/court advocacy program helps victims of Domestic Violence complete protective orders against their abuser. The legal department also helps victims with family legal matters that keep them from moving forward to a safe environment. Our court advocates served 3,418 clients at the family safety center and 375 at the tulsa county courthouse during 2022.
Outpatient counseling:counseling for abusers, survivors and their children is available. Goals: to hold abusers accountable for their actions and reduce future Violence; to enhance the safety of Domestic Violence survivors by providing safety planning. 1,289 clients were served during 2022.
