Organizing & leadership development - the poder family leadership collaborative facilitates and builds family leadership in public and community education including building leadership capacity for family engagement in schools, in creating transformation educational experiences for youth and families, and working with schools and the district to create equitable and just learning environments. Workshops are held throughout the year. The el puente summer leadership academy provides a 1 week of leadership training, community building, friendship-making, and problem- solving to 14-25 year olds in the summer.
Yucca - youth united for climate crisis action - is an Earth Care program providing voter education on focused climate change and environmental justice matters. The program hosts community forums, convenes public discussions of climate change advocates and provides climate change and environmental education. Also, Earth Care acts as the coordinating project sponsor for yucca action, a separate 501c4, New Mexico non-profit corporation, focused on election work dedicated to holdingelected officials accountable for future generation climate matters. Yucca action, during election season, compiles voter information, asks candidates to take stances on climate issues and hosts candidate forums. Earth Care project sponsor expenses - 3,914 - not yet collected from yucca action as of fye 8-31-2022 are identified on schedule c and reported on Earth Care's balance sheet as an accounts receivable.
Santa fe mutual aid - the mutual aid network is a network of community volunteers working to support one another, friends, family, and neighbors to meet each other's basic survival needs at this critical time. It is a system of community to community support and organization for resource sharing, information dissemination, and resilience- building. Hosts community events and provides direct support to community members in santa fe county for groceries, medicine, household supples and rent.
