Program areas at Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce
Networking - networking continues to be a primary benefit for our members. In 2022 the Chamber, continued to add programs into our schedule to get close to pre-pandemic events. Growth in our women's network programs, young professionals and entrepreneurship are leading the top networking opportunities.
Community building - in 2022, the Chamber continued to publish our directory and community guide into one publication. This publication is being distributed through direct mail, Chamber events, hotels, the city offices and at our school districts welcome center. The Chamber continues its efforts in building a strong community including giving out another $3,000 in scholarships to help further the education of two local students. We also continued to have our future leaders/student membership program with high school seniors learning valuable business skills. As the first Chamber in the nation to offer this unique opportunity for students, our program has helped young entrepreneurs and business people learn how to network, engage, do business, and even dress properly in the "real world."
Public policy - the Chamber advocates on behalf of its business members on local, county, state and federal issues. In 2022, we were very active with meeting with elected officials and sharing our businesses concerns and issues with them. Through a strong connection to the local Eden Prairie government as well as our district and state officials, the Chamber can offer a direct route to getting involved with public policy and having your business voice heard. In addition, the public policy committee of the Chamber held a candidates forum for our two state house of representatives seats and our one senate seat.
