Program areas at Family and Children's Aid
Community based services encompasses a wide variety of services including intensive in-home child and adolescent psychiatric services, multidimensional Family therapy, therapeutic foster care, home care, mentoring, respite, multi-disciplinary investigation team, senior in-home services, parent net, grandparents as parents support groups, child first, caregiver support team, foster care support group, reunification and therapeutic Family time, and positive parenting program.
Outpatient services- the child guidance center provides mental health services to children and youth and their families. The extended day treatment program is a therapeutic after-school program for children and youth with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Residental services (group homes)- dcf grant programs which provide 24 hour, 7 day per week residential care with a comprehensive clinical evaluation of children and sibling groups who are experiencing out of home placements due to abuse, neglect, Family conflict, or that have significant behavioral health or development issues. There is also a department of social services grant based shelter for mothers and their children.
