Scholarships Since 2015 - 2022, the Girlie Girls Mentoring Program, Inc. has awarded our graduating seniors over $35,000 in scholarships. This estimation ranges from $500 - $2500 per year. An average of four to six scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors each year. Twenty-five girls have received a scholarship over the past ten years, and 100% have enrolled in a college program. We are honored that dozens of girls and their families have benefited from the scholarships Girlie Girls offers. Preparing the next generation for future career success is a privilege, and GGMP is committed to making a difference in the girls education opportunities by supporting them financially. School Supplies AssistanceEach year toward the end of the summer, Girlie Girls Mentoring Program purchases school supplies for all its members, fulfilling the required school supply lists provided by their schools.

Workshops/Seminars - The Girlie Girls Mentoring Program attacks the negative behaviors in our society through the provision of social awareness seminars for all its members. A large variety of social topics are covered, such as teen dating, self-defense, all forms of bullying, self-esteem, social media, moral decision-making, peer pressure, sexual conduct, jail and prison life, drugs and alcohol, personal hygienic care, teen pregnancy, texting while driving, internet safety, suicide, and more. These seminars are facilitated by community leaders who have important roles as stakeholders in handling, conducting, supervising, managing, and regulating these negative social behaviors and the teens involved in these misconducts in our community. Girlie Girls Mentoring Program, Inc.s primary services involve helping young girls in our community set attainable goals and receive the proper guidance needed to achieve them.In 2022, we enrolled 30 members ranging from ages 8 through 18. Members met monthly twice per week. The target was to mentor 30 female youths each month, bringing social awareness to them to make good choices and wise decisions along with setting attainable goals. From January through December, 86% of our members achieved the outcome. During this growth process, the members realized that some goals were harder or took longer to obtain than others. Mentors are in place for tutoring as well as mentoring. We have academic events, seminars, ACT/SAT Test Prep workshops, and STEM/ELA presentations. Programs like Microsoft Office Suite are provided for our high school members for Career Readiness. Members have access to free computers and printers at the Girls Rock facility. Weekly on-site tutoring and computer classes are offered to all members free of charge. All girls must turn in a copy of their report cards each quarter to monitor their academic progress and growth.
