Performing Arts: hundreds of volunteers work thousands of hours putting on the all-volunteer art center theater productions. World-class artists perform in the chamber music series and jazz events, local talent is featured in our local eyes series and culture from around the world is highlighted in our global harmony series. These events are widely anticipated in the community and are well attended.
Visual Arts: the Gualala Arts center provides other visual art programs, membership programs and miscellaneous other activities for members and the community during the year. The visual art exhibits are a wide range of juried, curated, visiting group, local elementary and high school students including a large diverse media such as weaving, life drawing, photography, quilting, printing, glass, ceramics, pastels, and automotive art. Art in the redwoods is our largest art show/festival with over 300 works of art submitted by hundreds of artists that has been a tradition since 1961. For a full listing of past, present and upcoming exhibits and events visit our web site: www.gualalaarts.org
