Program areas at Habitat for Humanity - Washington and Dodge Counties HFH O
Bring communities together with volunteers and resources to build simple, decent affordable houses for sale to economically disadvantaged individuals and families.
Habitat for Humanity of Washington and Dodge Counties, Wisconsin, Inc. mandates that approved families participate in financial counseling, home ownership training, and maintenance skill development through our sweat equity program. Monitored by the family's assigned mentor, these educational ventures prepare our families to be successful homeowners.
The restores sell closeout new building materials, donated materials, and slightly used materials including doors, windows, plumbing, cabinets, hardware, and more. The restores accept new and used building-related materials from contractors, suppliers, individuals, remodelers, and property managers. Some materials received are used directly in the construction of homes, but most are offered to the general public to purchase at reduced prices. Proceeds from the restores help provide simple, decent, affordable housing, to economically disadvantaged individuals and families in Washington and Dodge Counties. The restores also provide an avenue to reduce the volume of waste in local landfills and offers a second chance for building materials.
