Our team at movie to movement (mtm) marketed the films, butter (an anti- bullying movie) and alive (a film about the eucharist). Our film, divided hearts of america, won a telly award and is now playing on several streaming platforms. In Hawaii, our team is buying out theaters for native Hawaiian children to see the new film, wind and the reckoning (a story about fighting for the dignity for the person and medical freedom). This spring, mtm bought out theaters across america for the pro-life life matters documentary.
In ukraine, our team helped establish ten shelters for women and children fleeing the nation when the illegal russian invasion began, serving 30,000 families. We purchased a van for a group of religious sisters and four others. We had a team making daily runs into the nation as shelling was underway to help evacuate over 150 and deliver food and medical supplies to those who were unable to leave. We purchased two robots to help our team on the ground removing land mines. So far, more than 800 land mines have been de-activated. Since last august, vpp has participated in the evacuation of more than 1,000 afghan refugees to a safer, temporary new country. We've reunited a baby boy with his parents in the united states after the bombing at the kabul airport. We have delivered food and fuel to save more than 30,000 families last winter. We established security at 4 hazara girls' schools and one university for a year, rebuilt the first women's hospital in the country and established a water system for an entire town in a remote part of the country. In africa, we financially supported eight priests in nigeria and malawi and provided basic needs assistance to another 800. Our influence continues to grow as my regular column at the stream and podcast, the jason jones show, is attracting new followers and supporters of our work to stand for the most vulnerable in our world. We've been honored to host some impressive guests like the east turkestan prime minister in exile, eric metaxas, and surf legend bear woznick.
