Homeless Engagement and Lift Partnership's mission is to restore dignity and hope to the homeless community by providing immediate aid and comfort, advancing education, promoting awareness, and purpose in the community. Along with their emergency homeless family sheltering program, they also offer an adopt-a-family program, which has touched the lives of hundreds of families and provided essential items for each parent and child. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES: Emergency Homeless Family Sheltering: In the most extreme circumstances, Homeless Liaisons at the various school districts reach out to us to assist a family in desperate need. We come alongside, when resources are available, provide emergency sheltering in a local motel for a short term period. This allows us to assess the situation, provide food and hygiene products to stabilize the situation while we intake & assess what is needed. On average at least 1 family a month is provided this service. Emergency housing can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the circumstances. By building relationships with the Homeless Liaison at the School districts, they will use us as a resource for families. 45 to 50 calls a month directly for food, emergency aid and housing. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES: Back to School Tools-Every student should have all the tools necessary to succeed in school. This program helped 428 students receive backpacks, school supplies, socks, underwear, bras, and personal hygiene items. In addition were able to provide 17 haircuts job opportunities and 19 students, 85 volunteers giving 255 hoursOTHER PROGRAM SERVICES: On The StreetsOTHER PROGRAM SERVICES: Helping Hungry Families-program is an emergency program we have where we work with the homeless advocates at 23 school districts. When we receive a call from the schools we have volunteers assemble grocery bags and deliver them to wherever the families are in the valley. Served 420 families equaling 2740 grocery bags.The year of 2022 we delivered to 192 families, 1344 bags of groceries.180 volunteers, giving 900 hours in 2022.
Adopt a Family for Program: Touched the lives of hundreds of families which means we helped 1700 individuals bringing hope. Over 400 volunteers, 1800 of hours for the specific program this year. Provided essential items for each parent and child, such as coats, clothing, shoes, hygiene, and dental products, along with food, baskets and food cards. In some cases, we were delivering furniture, beds, and Christmas trees. After all the presents were wrapped, we had 15 Santa Claus and their elfs deliver to families wherever they were located throughout Maricopa county.
Together We Make A Difference: This is our general fund program that helps the overall community.
