Program areas at HopeHealth
Provided integrated healthcare services to 57,965 patients with 288,023 visits in areas surrounding florence, clarendon, orangeburg and williamsburg counties of south carolina. Founded in 1991 as a grassroots hiv/aids support organization, Hopehealth was designated a federally qualified health center in 2007 and expanded its services to include primary and pediatric care. Hopehealth now has over 100 providers covering primary care, dental care, chiropractic care, rheumatology, endocrinology, behavioral health and psychiatry, pain management, substance use treatment and women's health services.
Provided medical, supportive and educational services to people living with hiv/aids in orangeburg, calhoun, bamberg, and aiken counties. 801 patients received comprehensive specialty care. Program services included not only medical care, but also case management, nutritional counseling, transportation, food and housing assistance, education services, substance use treatment and behavioral health counseling. Collaborative efforts with local colleges have resulted in providing educational seminars on campus and sensitivity discussions among peers and people living with hiv/aids.
