Hfth care center: Hosea helps launched its first off-site food pantry serving individuals and families in the south fulton area. Site location - oak hill child, family and adolescent center located at 2805 metropolitan pkwy sw, atlanta, ga 30315. This site has had an excellent beginning serving a family impact of 1,662 and growing. Our first off-site pantry started as a polite program which has exceeded in our projection and have increased our day center numbers over 45% (hfth on-site pantry numbers 3,442 oak hill off-site pantry numbers 1,662). Oak hill will receive its official hfth branding (signage) and grand opening this year.
Signature events: our annual signature events provided 16,253 individuals with direct access to home dlivery meals, free medical screening through morehouse school of medicine, free beauty and barber services provided by local barbers and stylists, free showers, clothing,foot washing, prayer services, on-site employment assistance offered by Georgia department of labor/dekalb county office of workforce development, mental health services/ housing, voter registration service, and access to other community resources.
Kids fitness program: the physical activity guidelines for americans, 2nd edition recommend that children and adolescents ages 6 to 17 years do 60 minutes or more of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity daily. 3 fitness events: -1,422 kids participated in the following activities - push ups, jumping jacks, circuits -170 kids participated in laps round the track -202 participated in jumping rope -1,402 participated in the obstacle course -84 participated in the bungee pull -20 participated in the bounce house accomplishments: event #1 - 6,332.50 calories burned event #2 - 18,300 calories burned event #3 - 281 calories burned
