House of Refuge offers transitional housing in a neighborhood setting for homeless families. With a mission to treat people with dignity and respect through programs that bring hope and self-sufficiency, House of Refuge has provided housing and supportive services to 312 homeless individuals, including 113 adults and 199 children from 102 households over six months. On any given day, an average of 240 residents live at House of Refuge.

House of Refuge provides essential wrap-around supportive services to help homeless families identify and overcome their individual barriers to stable housing as they work to become self-sufficient. All adult residents meet at least monthly with workforce development- and family services-case managers -- each of whom are highly trained and hold bachelor's or master's degrees.
