Humane Society University

Humane society university offers graduate degrees and graduate certificates in animal studies, animal policy and advocacy, and humane leadership. The university is committed to providing academically rigorous, interdisciplinary, distance learning degree programs related to animal welfare that promote personal, intellectual and professional growth. Hsu has recruited leading scholars in the field to its faculty, and seeks to attract students who wish to be in the forefront of creating a more humane society and to give them the tools they need to succeed. As a result of the 2013 assessment, the board of directors made a decision to cease marketing and admission efforts. Hsu is committed to teaching its existing students and will do so until the final student completes his/her degree. As of december 31, 2015, 13 students were actively pursuing completion of their academic programs - most of them are working on their final culmination projects. It is anticipated that the last students will complete their academic programs during the 2016 calendar year.
