The Institute for Aegean Prehistory (INSTAP) was established as a non-profit organization (501K) in the United States in 1982. The goal of Institute for Aegean Prehistory (INSTAP) grant program is to promote knowledge of the Aegean region, and to support archaeological fieldwork and research in that area in the chronological span of the Paleolithic through to the 8th century B.C. Program areas at INSTAP

The Institute for Aegean Prehistory (instap) supports and funds excavation projects, field surveys, and scientific analysis of sites in greece and the mediterranean.
Instap aids in the conservation of sites and materials, the study and research of archaelogical artifacts and assemblages, and subsidizes conferences and symposia related to the interactions of the civilizations of the Aegean, the ancient near east, and egypt.
Instap academic press helps publish projects dealing with the subject of Aegean Prehistory.
